Showing My Appreciation
Last term in Te Ngahere we wrote Thank You letter to Russell School because they let us use their pool. Since our pool is not able to be used at the moment we had no where to swim but Russel School was generous enough to let us use theirs. Without there generosity we wouldn’t have gotten swimming lessons to help us in so many ways like teaching us how to be swim safe and because we live close to the ocean that information can be very helpful. I found this letter very easy to write because we had a success criteria that helped us structure our letter correctly. Have you ever had to write a Thank You letter?
Kia ora Gail, it’s Mikaila in your class. I really liked how you were able to show your appreciation because if it wasn't for Russell School we all wouldn’t of been able to take swimming lessons and also to learn how to swim. It is really important to know how to be safe near and in the water. I thought this was a nice way to show your appreciation to Russell School because when someone appreciates you, it feels really good. I also thought this was a great opportunity because I was able to learn how to freestyle fast and a how to glide over the water. Do you agree that when you are near the water or in the water it is important to know how to swim?
