Here is my first 100 word story on the picture The Ghostly Shadow from Pobble.com.
He surveyed the scene before him, the featureless mist drifted directionless through thick air. The deformed, bare trunks stood motionlessly. The unstable gate sat, barricading the trees from growing through the path. Then he caught a glimpse of a peculiar silhouette standing amongst the mist. One second it was there, the next it wasn’t, he wanted to leave but curiosity dominated every emotion. Terror and anticipation put him in a trance, his body stilled, every muscle tensed, his eyes unable to leave the inexplicable shadow and it was gone. The ghostly shadow faded back into the depths of the mist.
