Fast Track Your Knowledge On T-ball

The last 2 weeks Te Ngahere have gotten the privilege to be given T-ball

lessons by an instructor, her name is Whaea kasey. When we

got to the field we were split into three teams,players , fielders and the

team waiting. T- ball  is actually really easy to play, there are two teams

players and fielders, the players have to hit the ball and run to a different

base before the ball is home and the fielders had to try to try and get the

ball to any of the bases before a player gets there. Some other important

rules were that once  3 players were out then we would switch over so

once the fielders got 3 players out the fielders were off and the waiting

team came in and got to be players. Also if the ball was caught on the

fool the player was automatically out. We then got to play the actual game

  and my team got to bat first. When we finished Whaea Kasey said that 

our skill set improved quite a bit. Over all I definitely enjoyed playing

more than I thought I would have when we first started because I didn’t

know what T-ball was at first.

A Simple Guide to T-shaped literacy

For the last few weeks my class has participated in a special T-shape literacy programme, t-shape literacy is when we read more than one text and have the same focus for each text. We have been given numerous t-shape based on mood/atmosphere and this is the third t-shape i’ve done. For this t-shape we we're given three different texts and we were tasked with identifying the adverbs in those texts. Next we had to describe the mood we thought the author was trying to create when they used those adverbs. I found this t-shape slightly easier then my first t-shape because I had a little bit more experience. Do you think t-shape literacy can help improve your writing skills?

For the last few weeks in Te Ngahere we have been making a weather report of New Zealand in Te Reo Maori. For this weather report we had a success criteria our success criteria was that our report must have at least six places, it must include a map, it must have symbols to represent the weather, the reo must be spoken and it must include a welcome and a goodbye. When be started this first, we had to pick the places we would like to include in our report then we constructed a script using those places and once our script was marked off we could make our DLO. Our DLO could be presented how ever we preferred (eg: an animation, green screen movie etc…),I chose to make an animation. When we started this I found it really easy to write a simple script so I decided to extend it and make a more complex weather report  but when we made our animation I found that really difficult .

Sharing My Time At Taumarere Swimming Hole

For the first week of the  School Holidays my family and I decided to  go swimming, in Taumarere river. We go there all the time. When we got there, it was scorching hot, the sun was blazing bright we couldn’t wait to jump in. When I first got in the water it was kind of cold but once I got use to the temperature it was actually quite refreshing. Later it was time to leave, I reluctantly got out of the water, because the river was still so warm and cooling. I really enjoyed that day and can’t wait for SUMMER to hit.

Fast Track Your Knowledge On Measuring Perimeter And Area

For the last few weeks here in Te Ngahere we were separated into groups of 2-3 and we have been doing different tasks every week. This week my group got to try out “Measuring Window” and in this task we had to measure the perimeter and area of different sized windows and then try to figure out why the windows each cost the amount of money they did (they were in pounds). When doing this task I found it really easy and interesting because we got to see the difference in prices when buying windows.

A Step By Step Guide To Chrome Music Lab

The past week in Te Ngahere we have been doing Chrome Music Lab which is a site where you can create your own beats, rhythms, melody's etc… When we started this  we had to create a rhythm using patterns and on Music Lab specifically we actually got to use little monsters to create our rhythms. Then we got to experiment a little bit and I made a replicated version of Bad Guy by Billie Eilish. When I first started Music Lab I didn’t really enjoy this but once I started getting the hang of the beats and rhythms it ended up being a lot of fun.

Tips On Modifying And Launching A Bottle Rocket

The last few weeks in Te Ngahere we mostly focussed on modifying our rockets which we did after every launch we tried. With our first few flights one major thing we had to modify in our rocket was our wings because they kept falling off when we stuck them to our rocket with just glue so instead we tried a combo of glue and duct tape and it worked like a charm. Also our latest flight which was our flight that flew the farthest yet went 29.6 metres when we used 60 PSI and 350mls of water. We thought this flight went  really good because our fins were the most aerodynamically shaped which were elliptical fins . I had so much fun doing this because it was really fun to design our rockets and launch them.
